You guessed it! The trend was... *drum roll* ...PUNK!
I think a lot of the influence for this fashion concept was from this year's Met Gala, which the theme was Punk: Chaos to Couture.
I am excited to see how this trend will translate into clothes for the average person.
Here are some pix from the fall 2013 runways.

This style of dressing has been developed & influenced by various rock music genres.
According to
Wikipedia, there are several different types of punk, including glam punk, which is most predominant in today's designer fashions.
Leather, the colors black and red, metallics, fishnets, outerwear, boots, such as
Dr. Martens, tartan, pleated schoolgirl- type skirts, hardware (studs, spikes, chains, zippers, grommets, etc.) all make up punk fashion.
Wondering how you can punk up your wardrobe using leftover craft supplies & broken jewelry?
