First Signs of Autumn

It's a good thing that the weather has finally begun to cool off in Southern California. (By cool off I mean that it is about 65 degrees in the morning and 75 degrees by lunch.)

I've been very busy lately, but it's the good kind of busy. I went to a Lorde concert, a fashion show, our high school football game, and the Homecoming dance all last week. This week has been less busy, but I do have my birthday party this Sunday to look forward to.

Fall Fashion Show hosted by Rachel Zoe!!

(FYI my whole outfit was thrifted, how typical of me. haha)

So many people!

"It's Eskimo-chic!" - Rachel Zoe

The model let us feel her vest, which was the softest thing I've ever felt!

Last Thursday I as fortunate to attend the Fall Preview Fashion Show (held by The Hollywood Insider) in South Coast Plaza, hosted by renowned stylist Rachel Zoe. The looks, styled in collaboration with high-end designers and a list lovely stylists.
Overall, I would give this event a 9 out of 10! After the glamorous runway show, we had the chance to speak with the stylists! I got to meet an enthusiastic style named Katie O-Sullivan, and she and her friend gave me a ton of tips on the industry. I as nodding and smiling like an idiot because I was so overwhelmed by their friendliness and the whole eperience!

They even gave out free ice cream and various drink and orderves, including mini tacos, fancy mac n' cheese, and some sort of sushi! I felt so welcome and enjoyed every moment. After the event, I rushed over the unbelievable Forever 21 in the mall and found a cute dress on sale for ONLY $9.

~It was a great night!~

Style Icon: The Clothes Horse

Hey everyone!! Sorry I've been M.I.A. lately. I've been working on a new project, so hopefully that gets posted by early next week!
Today I bringing another episode of STYLE ICON! See me previous installments here, here, and here.

Today's Style Icon is blogger of The Clothes Horse, Rebecca.
I admire her adorable style!
{all photos in this post are from http://theclothes.blogspot.com/ I take no credit!}

Rebecca has a very whimsical, yet elegant style. She often posts outfits with a quirky combo of dresses and heels! As you can see, her hair often changes hue as well.

I love this look with the dress, Letterman jacket, and saddle shoes. It's a perfect way to transition a favorite dress from summer to fall, (don't forget the tights!

The photography is AMAZING on her blog. It inspires me to think out of the box when styling my own looks!

And finally, I love this vintage, yet classic look. Sometimes a simple black and white outfit is all you need to emphasize your colored tresses.

Thank you for reading today and do yourself a favor by visiting The Clothes Horse sometime.
