I am an Artist

Hope everyone is doing great! I recently lost my camera charger, so filming my YouTube video has been postponed. I took these photos with my iPhone and a strategically placed string holding the phone to the playset in my backyard.

I feel that my outfit today resembled a stereotypical art teacher/painter- the smock dress, button shirt, quirky shoes, and my painter brooch that inspired the look! Art is very important in my life, and I'm glad that I have endless resources at my fingertips to express my creativity. It's amazing how sketching, painting, collage-making, sewing, styling, performing, etc. can bring out your emotions and help you to express them through an artistic outlet.

Chloe

I've been watching this show on Netflix called Don't Trust the B----- in Apartment 23, it's hilarious! There are only a few episodes left until I finish season 2,  the show's last season. Also, I have been taking some style cues from the show's star, Krysten Ritter. Bold prints, sexier silhouettes, and a color palette consisting mostly of red, cobalt, and of course black are Chloe's [Krysten Ritter's] closet staples. As you can see, my leather jacket is making a comeback this fall as the weather cools down to below 80 degrees. Thanksgiving yesterday saw some really hot weather! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday (and hopefully) a break!

Starry Night

We're approaching time of the holidays and people are complaining of Christmas coming earlier every year. I don't see the problem with this, it is simply a marketing technique that stores use to try and get you to buy excess Christmas decorations. Although, Thanksgiving can be considered the most ignored holiday of the year (besides the day after, Black Friday!) Do you guys go Black Friday shopping? Personally, I think Black Friday is slightly overrated, but another effective marketing technique used to lure Americans to Walmart at 5 AM and buy useless things that aren't even heavily discounted. However, I may make a trip to JoAnn Fabrics, which I visited last year on Black Friday.
What?! They had some good coupons!

Afternoon Haze

I hope everyone reading this is doing well. I appreciate my readers for sticking around even when I don't post weekly! As far as my YouTube channel, I posted a short video on how to make a choker necklace. For the next video, expect a DIY earring tutorial or a haul, because I have been shopping quite a bit lately! Don't worry, I'm trying to make room in my closet!

Have any of you sold your clothes online before? I would love to know if you use Etsy, eBay, StoreEnvy, or one of the many apps available now to sell & trade your clothes? Please inform me in the comments :)

First Signs of Autumn

It's a good thing that the weather has finally begun to cool off in Southern California. (By cool off I mean that it is about 65 degrees in the morning and 75 degrees by lunch.)

I've been very busy lately, but it's the good kind of busy. I went to a Lorde concert, a fashion show, our high school football game, and the Homecoming dance all last week. This week has been less busy, but I do have my birthday party this Sunday to look forward to.

Fall Fashion Show hosted by Rachel Zoe!!

(FYI my whole outfit was thrifted, how typical of me. haha)

So many people!

"It's Eskimo-chic!" - Rachel Zoe

The model let us feel her vest, which was the softest thing I've ever felt!

Last Thursday I as fortunate to attend the Fall Preview Fashion Show (held by The Hollywood Insider) in South Coast Plaza, hosted by renowned stylist Rachel Zoe. The looks, styled in collaboration with high-end designers and a list lovely stylists.
Overall, I would give this event a 9 out of 10! After the glamorous runway show, we had the chance to speak with the stylists! I got to meet an enthusiastic style named Katie O-Sullivan, and she and her friend gave me a ton of tips on the industry. I as nodding and smiling like an idiot because I was so overwhelmed by their friendliness and the whole eperience!

They even gave out free ice cream and various drink and orderves, including mini tacos, fancy mac n' cheese, and some sort of sushi! I felt so welcome and enjoyed every moment. After the event, I rushed over the unbelievable Forever 21 in the mall and found a cute dress on sale for ONLY $9.

~It was a great night!~
